April 8, 2012 - EASTER SUNDAY

HE IS RISEN!

Each time I see scenes from Mel Gibson's movie, "The Passion of the Christ," I get a lump in my throat and fight back tears . . . to think that God, the Creator of the Universe, would come to Earth, clothe Himself in lowly humanity, and suffer such an excruciating death for me so that I don't have to suffer for all eternity but enjoy the splendor of Heaven with Him one day . . . it's sad to think many people either don't believe or don't give eternity a second thought.  Once I read a church marquee: "ETERNITY IS A LONG TIME TO BE WRONG."  Oh, how true!

God Himself wants to spend eternity with you--is that not the most awesome thought?!   I mean . . . who would want to knowingly choose hell?  (And yes, it is a choice.)

He suffered and died, and He is risen from the grave . . . not just for me, but for you too . . . I hope you've accepted the most precious gift ever offered. If you haven't done so yet, I hope you do that TODAY, because you just never know when you'll cross over to the other side of eternity.  Easter represents LIFE.  I hope you choose life today.
