THE NEW EVOLUTION vs. SILENCE OF THE LAMBS
Last week, for the first time in American history, the President of the United States declared his approval, support and advancement of homosexual marriage. Although most everyone knew long beforehand where he stood on the issue, he continued to claim that his views were "evolving" on the subject. Now he is "out and proud" and it's a sad time for true American patriots.
When the godly are in authority, the people rejoice. But when the wicked are in power, they groan. (Proverbs 29:2)
It's even sadder still that, for many of us who call ourselves Christians, we have not heard one word about this from our pastors! Nor do we hear about the advancement of abortion by our government, its refusal to defend the innocent in pornography and human trafficking, and the trampling of our religious liberties by oppression (and this latter issue is NOT just a Catholic issue). Do you not find this just a bit alarming, that our spiritual leaders would not "lead" and "shepherd" their flocks as they are called to do, to keep us from blindly going with the flow? I find it not only alarming--I find it shameful.
Let me leave you with one final thought . . . a quote from a very significant figure in history:
"We should trap the preachers by their notorious greed and self-indulgence. We shall thus be able to settle everything with them in perfect peace and harmony. I shall give them a few years reprieve, why should we quarrel? They will swallow anything in order to keep their material advantage. The parsons will be made to dig their own graves, they will betray their God for us, they will betray anything for the sake of their miserable jobs and incomes."
